Company History

1966 Arthur Garden, the Regional Managing Director, buys the company from Jeffrey Galion who pulled out due to sanctions against the then Rhodesia. The new company was named Arthur Garden & Company. Arthur Garden & Company maintained its relationship with Jeffrey Galion and continued to manufacture conveyors and towed graders to the original Jeffrey Galion design and standards. Arthur Garden later sold off its agency for Galion and became the sole agent for Donaldson Filtration Systems and Kilber Exhausts. 1991 Arthur Garden & Company is bought by ZSR Corporation Ltd - the leading sugar refinery company in Zimbabwe - becoming one of two companies comprising the ZSR Engineering Division. The other company is Marathon Tyres
